Dr. Kasrina Azad is a Medical Officer at ideSHi. She joined ideSHi in 2021. She completed her MBBS from North East Medical College and Hospital, Sylhet, Bangladesh in 2012. She completed her MPH from School of Public Health and Life Science –University of South Asia in 2021. She did her Master’s thesis on Prevalence of Safe Disposal of Medical Waste Products in Dhaka city from the Department of Public Health of University of South Asia. She received a scholarship for brilliant result in open day exam from University of South Asia, Bangladesh in 2019. She worked as a lecturer in the Biochemistry Department of Shaheed Monsoor Ali Medical College and Hospital from 2014 to 2021.
At ideSHi, Dr. Kasrina is actively involved in several research and other projects, which include COVID-19 vaccine response, Thalassemia awareness and free carrier screening program, characterization of Klebsiella pneumonia isolates, PK & safety study of Adalimumab (ongoing), etc. Her research interest lies in epidemiology, risk factor and prevention of communicable disease. She is also a dedicated doctor for the ideSHi staff clinic. Her hobbies include reading books, travelling and gardening. She loves and enjoys spending time with family.
