Imrul Hasan is a Research Officer at the Institute for Developing Science and Health Initiatives (ideSHi). He joined ideSHi in 2020. He graduated from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2017. He completed his MS from the same department in 2018. He did his MS thesis at Laboratory of Population Genetics, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Dhaka on genetic association analysis of bladder cancer in Bangladeshi population, in collaboration with Gifu University and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He received two scholarships for brilliant academic result in B.S. (Hon’s) from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2017. He also achieved a fellowship for conducting his thesis works from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
At ideSHi, Imrul is actively involved in several research projects, which include COVID-19 serology, Rapid Antigen Kits, Pseudovirus neutralization assay and Rabies Vaccine clinical trial. His research interest lies in Immunogenetics, Microbial Immunology and Vaccinology. His hobbies include travelling, playing cricket, listening to music. He loves and enjoys intellectual conversations.
