Mohammad Amir Hossain is a Research Assistant at the Institute for developing Science and Health initiatives (ideSHi) Dhaka, Bangladesh. He earned his B.Sc. (Honors) in Microbiology from Primeasia University, Dhaka. Currently, he is preparing his MS dissertation in Biotechnology at BRAC University, Dhaka. He began working in 2009 at the Medical Microbiology and Mycology laboratory at Apollo Hospitals, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he remained till May 2014. Before finally joining ideSHi, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Immunology Lab of the Center for Vaccine Science in International Centre for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b). Currently, he is working in the Infectious Disease and Molecular Genomics Unit at ideSHi, where he is involved in performing research on Acute Respiratory and Enteric Infections (AREI), Basic Neurometabolic Screening (BNMS) and G6PD projects.
